Background
Warren Henson has spent more than 30 years in investment banking, working at boutique firms and on Wall Street with a specialization in mergers and acquisitions. Over his career he has been the lead banker on M&A transactions totaling approximately $1.5 billion in aggregate value. Before co-founding his current firm, he served for nearly a decade as President of Green Manning & Bunch, one of the most well-regarded boutique investment banks in the western United States.
In 2015, Henson co-founded Peakview Partners with Tim Dailey. The two partners, each carrying 30+ years of investment-banking experience, built the firm around a simple thesis: a boutique large enough to bring diverse, deep experience to bear, yet small enough that the founding partners personally lead every engagement end-to-end. Peakview provides M&A advisory (primarily sell-side), private placements, and strategic financial advisory to lower-middle-market business owners, and works on a referral-only basis.
Henson holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado. He maintains Series 7, 24, and 63 securities licenses, and offers securities and investment-banking services as a registered representative through Britehorn Securities (member FINRA/SIPC). Outside of banking he is active in the Denver civic community — he serves as a Director of the Denver Botanic Gardens Endowment and Chairman of its Investment Committee, and holds the title of Grand-Senechal of the Sous-Commanderie of Denver of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin.
Investment Thesis & Focus
- Operates as an M&A / capital-raise advisor, not a fund investor — Peakview represents business owners in sales, acquisitions, and financings rather than writing equity checks.
- Firm is "a natural fit for owners with $5M to $100M businesses who want partner-level attention on their deal."
- Founding thesis: build a boutique "large enough to leverage a breadth of diverse experience while small enough for the Partners to deliver expertise and tailored support across the entire process directly to each client."
- Sell-side value creation approach centers on creating competition among buyers, leading negotiations, and managing the process to close — with the founding partners personally hands-on rather than delegating to junior staff.
- Client sourcing is referral-only, signaling a relationship- and reputation-driven model rather than volume dealmaking.
