Wesley Legg

Wesley Legg is President and Chief Compliance Officer of Founders Advisors, a Birmingham, Alabama–based investment bank that provides merger, acquisition, and strategic advisory services to middle-market companies. He joined the firm as President and COO in April 2013 and added the Chief Compliance Officer role at the affiliated broker-dealer (Founders M&A Advisory, LLC) in March 2016. His stated remit is daily operational oversight and building out the Founders platform for scalable growth. He holds Series 79, 63, and 24 securities licenses.

Before Founders, Legg was an original member and partner at Ergon Capital, a Nashville-based hedge fund that operated from 2004 to 2009, where he worked as a senior investment analyst and is credited with generating over $50 million in profits. In 2009 he co-founded Harbinger Media Partners, serving as Chief Operating Officer and as a producer on the feature film *Unconditional* (2012), which received an NAACP Image Award nomination.

Legg began his career as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) prosecutor in the U.S. Navy from 2001 to 2004, where he handled more than 100 cases. He earned a B.A. in public relations from the University of South Alabama (1998) and a Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law (2001). He resides in Trussville, Alabama, and volunteers with urban-youth initiatives including the Aspire Movement in partnership with Cornerstone Schools of Alabama.
