Background

Yannick Petit is the founder, Chairman and CEO of Allegra Finance, an independent Paris corporate-finance boutique he established in March 2006 and one of France's recognized specialists in bringing small- and mid-cap companies to the public markets. He holds a graduate degree in corporate finance (DESS de finance d'entreprise) from Université Paris IX Dauphine.

His career has been built almost entirely around French capital markets. He began in 1986 around the launch of the MATIF (the French futures market), working in audit and then as a finance director, and briefly led accounting and management control at Daï-Ichi Kangyo Bank. In 1991 he joined SBF–Bourse de Paris (later Euronext SA) as head of sales and then head of issuer relations (1992–1995). He was a principal architect of the Nouveau Marché, France's growth-company exchange, and in May 1995 was named Deputy CEO of the Société du Nouveau Marché at its creation. In that role he canvassed roughly 500 companies and brought more than 100 to listing, concentrated in information technology and healthcare.

In 1999 he founded the France Finance & Technologies group, leading its FF&T Equity arm; that business was sold to the Avenir Finance group in 2002 and renamed Avenir Finance Corporate. He left in 2006 to launch Allegra Finance as a Listing Sponsor on Alternext (now Euronext Growth). He has also chaired the Association des Intermédiaires en Valeurs Moyennes (AIVM) and lectured at the CNAM. He runs the firm alongside Deputy CEO Evelyne Galiatsatos and Associate Director Rémi Durgetto.

Under Petit, Allegra Finance describes a track record of roughly 74 successful IPOs and more than €1 billion in funds raised over its history, positioning itself as an end-to-end advisor across the Euronext, Euronext Growth and Euronext Access markets in Paris.

Investment Thesis & Focus

  • Focuses on growth-stage SMEs/mid-caps ready for the public markets, not early seed companies — the core service is acting as a Euronext-approved Listing Sponsor that shepherds companies through an IPO end-to-end.
  • Also helps companies raise private capital from institutional and private-equity investors via capital increases, and advises on related operations and shareholder-agreement negotiations.
  • Sector preferences track the firm's deal flow: cleantech/green energy (Lhyfe, Entech, Boostheat, Gaussin), biotech and medical devices (Médincell, Valbiotis, Mauna Kea Technologies), and technology/industrial innovation (Munic, Largo).
  • Emphasizes due diligence to Euronext standards and preparing entrepreneurs/founders for investor meetings — i.e., readiness, documentation quality, and market credibility are what get a company to "yes."
  • Values French/Euronext market fit: the natural client is a company whose growth story and size make a Paris Euronext Growth listing realistic.
