Yifat Segev is a scientist-operator with healthcare venture-capital experience. Her LinkedIn profile identifies her as “Yifat Segev, PhD, MBA,” based in Hofit, Israel, and affiliated with Yifatsegev.com. Her own biography says she began in academic research, earned a B.A. in Biology from the Technion with highest honors, studied at the University of Pittsburgh during that period, completed an M.Sc. in neuroimmunology at the Weizmann Institute of Science, and later earned a PhD in neuroscience from the University of Haifa, where she researched biochemical and molecular processes of learning and memory.

Segev later moved from research into the business side of biotechnology. Her biography says she joined the investment team of a healthcare venture-capital fund and was responsible for investments and portfolio-company support across pharma, medical devices, and digital health. LinkedIn activity and aMoon posts connect her specifically to aMoon Velocity: aMoon named her as part of the Velocity team when the early-stage fund reached $100 million, and a former aMoon colleague later referred to her as a colleague from the Velocity team.
